"Creases" - A Poem
I've moved into a van and I have thoughts!
Hi Divergents,
A little art for your Monday.
The crease on my forehead runs deep like the blackened bark of the pine tree -
memories of harder times.
The lower half of the tree bears the memory of life no more, like the dead-end relationships from my decades gone by.
Midway up its trunk the large swath of missing bark mirrors my scarred knees that carry me these miles to its side.
We both survive another day to witness the miraculous splendor of the setting sun.

Me & the tree that inspired “Creases”

The sunset we shared!
Rooting for you!
